New Wholly Guacamole TV Ad Destined for Playlists Everywhere

PHOENIX, April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- An original jingle, a group of talented puppeteers and a whole lot of guacamole sets the scene for Wholly Guacamole's Stage Hero, a :30 second TV spot with a one-of-a-kind "Wholly Guacamole" 'cadence' that is contagious. The jingle is amplified by the beat of maracas and drums which resound as the screen reveals a stage where uses for America's #1 Brand of Guacamole are 'cued' via the artistry of stop action animation.

Commenting on the work, Chief Creative Officer at RIESTER, Tom Ortega, said, "Wholly Guacamole has done an amazing job building a brand bursting with personality. Arriving at this execution was the result of close collaboration with the Wholly Guacamole marketing team, who live and breathe this brand."

The spot has already earned a video post by a Facebook fan of their newly walking baby intently playing with his toys but then disrupted by the commercial's jingle as he jolts up to dance for the 20 seconds that the music plays, with a caption of: "Clark loves the Wholly Guacamole commercial!" Stage Hero is currently airing in Portland, Oregon and Jacksonville, Florida. Viewers are invited to visit the website where more mouthwatering recipes are featured. The commercial is also running online and is supported by a national digital buy.

RIESTER partnered with Shiloh and director Daniel Cohen in New York to develop the playful TV spot which is a two-act play in which a Wholly Guacamole meal comes together on its own. The production process required many hours of preparation, six days of shooting and a group of talented puppeteers. Cohen contributed not only his extensive background on stop action animation, but also his experience with food and the ability to showcase the recipes' appetite appeal throughout a process that can take dozens of hours.

The entire creative process began with the jingle when RIESTER Senior Art Director, Paul Svancara, picked up some maracas and started repeating the brands fun name over and over again. RIESTER wanted to keep the same organic feel for the final execution, inviting other RIESTER team members and even RIESTER kids to the recording studio to produce the final track.
