National Planning Corp. Names VP of Practice Management [Health & Beauty Close – Up]

National Planning Corp., Inc. (NPC) has announced the appointment of Randy Miller, as first VP and director of practice management.

In his new role, NPC said that Miller will oversee the firm's Pursuit Program, a platform that offers customized practice management coaching and consulting solutions for NPC's financial advisers.

Miller is based at NPC's headquarters in Santa Monica, Calif. and will report to Lynn Niedermeier, president and CEO of NPC. He has more than 13 years of experience in the financial services industry, beginning his career as a financial adviser with Prudential Securities. Miller has held regional VP positions with parent company Jackson National Life Insurance and with Genworth Financial, and served as the director of a dedicated wealth advisory group with MetLife Investors. He originally joined NPC in 2009 and served as VP and practice management consultant until 2011. Prior to accepting his current role, Miller served as the VP of sales for a start-up enterprise in the hospitality industry.

Miller replaces Jim Komoszewski, who has joined Investment Centers of America (ICA) in a practice management role. Located in Bismarck, N.D, ICA is also part of the National Planning Holdings, Inc. (NPH) network, the holding company of NPC.
