March 12--Florida Community Bank, a banking subsidiary of Bond Street Holdings Inc., has completed the conversion of its recently acquired Great Florida Bank accounts.

With the conversion and integration of the accounts and Great Florida's banking centers, Florida Community is now the fourth-largest bank headquartered in the state, with about $5 billion in assets and more than 60 locations.

Florida Community is based in Weston, on Florida's east coast. The bank has nine offices in Lee and Collier counties.

Florida Community is the combination of nine community banks, including the failed Immokalee bank that went by that same name before it was acquired in January 2010.

Great Florida was based in Miami Lakes, in Miami-Dade County.

"While the FCB presence in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties now rivals the largest banks in the nation, our community banking standards of local decision-making, exceptional customer service, client specific products and lending capacity set Florida Community Bank apart in this vibrant market," said Kent Ellert, the bank's CEO, in a statement.

Beasley Broadcast declares quarterly dividend

Naples-based radio operator Beasley Broadcast Group Inc. has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.045 per share of its Class A and Class B common stock.

The dividend is payable on April 10, 2014, to shareholders of record on March 31, 2014.

Founded in 1961, the company owns and operates more than 40 stations in 11 markets in the U.S.

Naples-Marco home values to go up 20 percent, study says

Home values for Naples-Marco Island are forecast to increase by 20 percent by the first quarter of 2015, according to Local Market Monitor.

The Cary, N.C-based research firm forecast it will tie with North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton for the third-highest expected appreciation in the state.

Higher appreciation rates are anticipated for Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Deerfield Beach at 24 percent and West Palm Beach-Boca Raton-Boynton Beach at 23 percent.

Prices in Naples-Marco Island are forecast to increase an additional 15 percent in 2016 and 12 percent in 2017.

In Cape Coral-Fort Myers, prices are projected to rise 12 percent by 2015, and 10 percent and 9 percent in the ensuing years.

That puts the city 10th out of 20 Florida metro areas studied.

Nationally, the research firm expects prices to rise 8.7 percent by 2015.

Fitness company branch in Naples focuses on back pain

Concept 10 10 has opened a branch in downtown Naples, at 1010 Fifth Ave. S.

The owner is a chiropractor, who is using the fitness concept to reduce back pain.

Concept 10 10, which moved its international headquarters to North Naples three years ago, is now in six countries and continues to expand with franchising and licensing.

Its concept is a 20-minute-a-week fitness regimen, with one-on-one attention from a personal trainer.

The company, in business for a decade, is doing research to determine the effects of the workout on patients with Type 2 diabetes. It's in the early stages of setting up a foundation that would offer free sessions to needy patients, with such diseases as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

Golden Gate Middle students to learn about banking field

Iberiabank will host 40 students from Golden Gate Middle School on Friday to showcase the variety of careers available in the field of banking.

The tour, which came about through Junior Achievement's Job Shadow Program, will be at Iberiabank'sNaples headquarters at 2150 Goodlette-Frank Road beginning at 9:45 a.m.

A team of bankers will teach the children about a variety of banking topics. The group will see first-hand the daily activities involved in running a branch, learn how commercial deposits are processed and learn the fundamentals of how a bank operates.

"This tour came about through one of our associates who was volunteering with Junior Achievement at Golden Gate Middle School. We hold student tours from time to time, and what we find is that some of these kids have never set foot in a bank for a variety of reasons," said David Gordley, market president for Iberiabank.
