RED BANK, N.J., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Teachers' Insurance Plan of NJ has donated over $50,000 since the inception in 2007 of the company's Quotes for Cash program. The 2008-2009 school year generated $29,000 in donations, an increase of over 30% from the prior year. The funds are being used for programs throughout the state to enhance the educational experience of New Jersey students and support the educational community. Part of the funds include scholarships for college-bound seniors, and grants to support innovative teachers.
"When we first introduced the Quotes for Cash program we were hoping to generate a win-win situation that benefited our partner educators around the state. "As an insurance company that only does business with New Jersey educators, we have a special connection to the education community in New Jersey.
