At the NAID 2014 Annual Conference in Phoenix, Ariz., 23 secure destruction professionals joined the ranks of other Certified Secure Destruction Specialists (CSDS). The following individuals can now display "CSDS" as a professional title with their names:

All of the individuals who took the exam in Phoenix successfully earned their CSDS accreditations. The highest score was a 99% on the regular CSDS exam and a 99.6% on the Canadian CSDS exam. The CSDS exam consists of 300 questions about data protection legislation, physical security, risk management, operations and records management. It establishes an individual's competency in seven subject areas. To prepare for the exam, NAID provides a CSDS handbook on the NAID website, (http://www.naidonline.org/) online training, and a sample exam.

"Congratulations to everyone," said NAID CEO Bob Johnson. "Passing this exam means that individual has a working understanding of a wide range of industry issues that requires a lot of studying."
