With Acuant's comprehensive SDK (Software Developer Kit), eClinicalWorks has been able to incorporate this identity technology directly into their existing software application with ease. Utilizing Acuant's hardware solutions including the ScanShell® and SnapShell® scanners, card images are quickly captured while the MedicScan® software then extracts the relevant data and instantly inputs into the eClinicalWorks system. The Acuant hardware solutions provides users with a choice of duplex scanners that have a small-footprint with up to 600 dpi scanning resolution for sharp and clear images. The scanners also connect through a USB port and so no external power supply is required. With zero warm-up and wait time, the automatic card-feed detection mechanism will trigger the scan automatically creating a streamlined and efficient data input process.
