Liberty Mutual Names President of Liberty Seguros Spain

Liberty Mutual Group has named Enrique Huerta chief executive officer of Liberty Seguros Compania, de Seguros y Reaseguros, S.A. He succeeds Jose Maria Dot, current president of Liberty Seguros Spain, who will retire at the end of 2011.
Huerta will be responsible for Liberty Mutual's operations in Spain as well as continue in his current position as head of Liberty Seguros Spain's customer offering unit, Liberty Mutual said in a statement.
Since 2001, Huerta has held management positions in areas of the company such as human resources, information technology, direct channel and centers of service for agents, brokers and institutions. During this time, he also collaborated on other international projects within the group. He previously worked for Accenture and Hartford Insurance.
Liberty Seguros in Spain is the country's seventh-largest automobile insurer, according to Liberty Mutual. Liberty Seguros in Spain provides insurance for auto, homeowners, accident, property, commercial, personal lines, and life through a multichannel distribution of its three brands: Liberty Seguros, Genesis, and Regal.
Liberty Mutual Insurance Cos. has a current Best's Financial Strength Rating of A (Excellent).
