Liberty International Underwriters Selects Kelly Fusner as Senior VP of LIU Primary Casualty [Professional Services Close – Up]

Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance, announced the appointment of Kelly Fusner as Senior Vice President of LIU's Primary Casualty product line.

According to a release, Fusner will be responsible for the strategic direction and underwriting performance of LIU's Primary Casualty business and will report directly to David Cohen, president of LIU U.S. and Latin America. Fusner is based in LIU'sChicago office.

"Kelly is known in the industry for providing innovative solutions and having a consistent approach during the market's cyclical softening and hardening," said Cohen. "Under her leadership, LIU's Primary Casualty group will continue to offer brokers the flexible and timely underwriting needed to place their clients' business."

An industry veteran with more than 25 years' experience in insurance, Fusner was most recently Senior Underwriting Officer for LIU Primary Casualty. In addition to the key role she played in managing the book of business and guiding the unit's strategic growth, Fusner led the business team that developed a web-based underwriting application for LIU Primary Casualty.

LIU Primary Casualty has a broad appetite for business with special emphasis on difficult risks that other companies may turn away. Its product portfolio includes a range of policies for General Liability, Casualty Programs, and Railroad.
