Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 04, 2011

Presented by Perrin Conferences and chaired by leading mesothelioma lawyer John Cooney of the Chicago law firm Cooney and Conway, the Asbestos Bankruptcy Conference will take place June 20, 2011 at The Peninsula hotel in Chicago. The event will feature a judicial roundtable on asbestos compensation in which industry leaders in asbestos litigation will participate.

This year, conference topics will include a review of 2010 asbestos bankruptcy cases, new filings, the management and operation of an Asbestos Bankruptcy Trust, how to successfully file an Asbestos Bankruptcy Trust claim, and the impact of asbestos bankruptcies on the tort system.

Nationally known mesothelioma lawyers will discuss, specifically, the continued impact of the General Motors and Chrysler bankruptcies, and they will participate in a judicial roundtable on the interplay between Bankruptcy Trusts and traditional asbestos litigation. John Cooney, a leading mesothelioma lawyer and partner at Cooney and Conway, will both moderate and participate in the conference’s various discussion segments.
