Lawyers Professional Program Expands Presence in Illinois

NewsRx

Five Star Professional Programs™, a division of Crump Insurance Services, Inc., one of the nation's largest insurance wholesalers, has teamed up with Allied World to provide E&O coverage for lawyers in Illinois. Five Star Professional Programs serves as a state coordinator for the admitted program.

The program offers E&O coverage for a broad range of firms in nearly all areas of practice (excluding patent prosecution). Law firms with 25 or fewer attorneys and revenues of at least $50,000 are eligible. Allied World offers competitive rates, expert claims handling, loss control and risk management resources and the availability of privacy/cyber liability. Several retention options are available and claims expenses are available outside the limit.

When introducing the new program, Wayne Carter, Executive Vice President of Crump P&C, said that "the expansion of Lawyers E&O coverage into Illinois is part of Crump's broader plan to provide more professional liability options for all industries nationwide. Partnering with Allied World on this program parallels our client satisfaction efforts throughout the company by providing coverage with a financially strong carrier and expert claims handling services."

Al Fantuzzi, Senior Vice President of E&O at Allied World, stressed 5Star's distribution relationships. "Five Star has nurtured relationships with retail agents nationwide in its varied programs for over 25 years. We are excited to team up with 5Star to provide experience, knowledge and expertise to agents and brokers. Their experience in administering and growing professional liability programs in general, and legal liability in particular, makes this a winning combination."

Five Star works with licensed and insured retail property and casualty agents and brokers.
