Larry King Cardiac Foundation Features HeartMath®’s emWave® Stress Management Technology at Annual Gala

Boulder Creek, CA (PRWEB) April 5, 2011

Television talk show icon Larry King gave HeartMath’s emWave® stress-reduction technology to 50 people at his annual Cardiac Foundation gala in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, which was attended by a crowd of close supporters and entertainment celebrities.

The high-price ticket dinner evening lent itself to support the Larry King Cardiac Foundation (LKCF) and give the intimate group of attendees a closer look at the LKCF’s efforts to help save lives and meet with leaders in entertainment and health. As part of the evening, King gave one emWave technology for every dinner table as a bonus for attendees.

HeartMath, the creator of the emWave, is a recognized leader in scientifically-validated stress solutions and their emWave technology provides its users with real-time feedback giving the user an added advantage of managing their emotions for better health. Raffle winners at the gala received either a handheld emWave Personal Stress Reliever or emWave Desktop Stress Relief System, which is the computer version of the technology.

Larry King Jr., president of his father’s foundation, said he has great respect for HeartMath and its technology as a tool for stress management and decided it would be a great gift to give attendees of the gala. King Jr. said he is an advocate of living a heart-healthy lifestyle, and uses the emWave to keep his stress in check. “I am learning every day how to better control my stress,” King Jr. said. “The knowledge I’m gaining from the emWave is helping me to live a healthier and more enjoyable life."

King Sr. started his foundation in 1988 after undergoing quintuple bypass heart surgery and realizing there were people not as lucky himself who had limited financial means and insurance to cover life-saving surgeries like his. King’s foundation teams with hospitals throughout the nation to help patients get proper medical attention.

Stress has been known to contribute the development of heart disease and bring about acute heart problems to people who already have it. King Sr. is one of more than 60 million people across the U.S. suffering from Heart disease. More than 10,000 health professionals have incorporated the technology into their practice to help patients reduce stress and anxiety

Recent surveys by the American Psychological Association’s (APA) reveal that stress is an increasing concern for American’s. More than one third, (36 percent) of U.S. workers report experiencing work stress regularly, according to APA survey findings released in March. Another recent survey revealed many American families recognize they have high stress levels, but lack the time and willpower to do something.

April is being observed as National Stress Awareness Month and in light of the observation HeartMath is offering a free de-stress kit (http://heartmath.com/destresskit/) and their emWave Desktop Stress Relief System will be on sale this month at http://www.emwave.com.
