Kony Gets Global Information Security Certifications for Enterprise Mobility Solutions

Kony reported that it has strengthened its security credentials for its mobile application software and cloud services, including achieving SOC 2 (Service Organization Controls), ISO 27001 (International Organization for Standardization) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) certifications, which are considered standards for information security.

In its release, Kony said that these certifications solidify its commitment to delivering mobile solutions that meets the "highest standard for quality and security."

Most recently, Kony noted that it has received these certifications for security and compliance:

-SOC 2 Report - By achieving this certification, Kony confirmed it has security, availability, privacy, confidentiality and processes integrity controls.

-ISO 27001 certification - Kony has received this certification in all of its regional locations. This certification was achieved by Kony's ability to demonstrate how it can effectively mitigate information security related risks for customers.

-HIPAA - This healthcare security rule protects individuals' electronic personal health information that is created, received, used or maintained by a covered entity. This rule requires appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards.

The ISO 27001 certification relates to the management, operation and maintenance of the assets, information systems and the associated processes that enable the design, development, testing and delivery of Kony's mobile application and multi-edge application platform.
