Klein collects Late Model feature win at Belle-Clair

April 18--Daryn Klein won the UMP Late Model feature last Friday at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, finishing ahead of Adam Tischauser and Mike Hammerle.

Mike Harrison won the UMP Modifieds feature on "Meet the Modifieds Drivers Night" at the track. Dean Hoffman was second and Tyler Ratajczyk was third.

Marc McClintock came out on top in the Pure Stocks feature and Rob Shaw won the O'Reilly's Pro Stock 4 feature race.

Friday night features a 10,000 Nickel Race for children with $500 worth of nickels to be collected. The Easter Bunny is also expected to put in an appearance.

Highland Speedway

Feature winners last week at Highland Speedway were Mike Schulte (UMP Late Models), Aaron Kleine (UMP Steve Schmitt Modifieds), Rob Lee (UMP B-Dry Solutions Sport Mods), Jacob Rexing (Hamel Coop StreetStocks) and Carlee Gress (Daum Insurance Micros).

Highland Speedway will hold its Kids Easter Egg Dash and Bunny Hop for Junior Fan Club members as part of its weekly racing program Saturday. The Easter Bunny will also be available for photos.

Tri-City Speedway

It is Deuces Wild Night on Friday at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach featuring $2,000 to win races for MOWA Sprint Cars, UMP Late Models and UMP Modifieds. Front gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7:15 p.m.

Last Friday, Brian Shirley won the UMP DIRTCar Super Late Model main event, holding off Randy Korte and Michael Kloos.

Quincy's Michael Long won the UMP DIRTcar Modified feature and Aaron Heck won the UMP DIRTcar Pro Late Model feature. Dan Pilkington (Factory Stocks) and Jeff Frohwitter (Pro Modifieds) also posted victories.
