KPMG and Resilinc Partner to Drive Supply Chain Risk Management Innovation and Adoption

Proquest LLC

Resilinc, a provider of supply chain resiliency solutions, and KPMG, a U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, announced they have formed an alliance to help clients transform their approach to supply chain risk management.

According to a release, KPMG will leverage Resilinc SupplyIntel and EventWatch products in supply chain, IT strategy and advisory engagements to help clients gain better visibility into potential multi-tier supply chain risks. The increased visibility can help drive improved strategic decision-making by identifying critical vulnerabilities, monitoring global external events for potential disruptions, and aid in cost effectively mitigating identified risks.

"Most leading companies are working to transform their procurement and global supply chain functions to deliver greater value to their businesses while reducing the risks and costs of supply disruptions," said Jon Bovit, chief marketing officer, Resilinc. "By combining KPMG's suite of services with Resilinc's innovative applications and data, we can jointly help clients achieve a more strategic, business-driven approach to protect the continuity of supply and achieve sustained operational performance by providing executives with the timely information they need."

"Without exception, a top concern of the senior executives we work with is supply chain resilience. It has become a critical imperative of the C-suite and their Boards of Directors," said Kevin O'Laughlin, Principal, Supply Chain and Operations advisory services, KPMG. "Executives in many industries have seen the impact that supply chain disruptions can cause, and are seeking comprehensive and innovative ways to address supply chain risk. The combined capabilities of Resilinc and KPMG create a clear choice when looking for a strategic partner in supply chain risk management. Our full suite of supply chain resilience offerings provides an end-to-end solution addressing the full range of threats and risks across the extended supply chain."

The company reported that KPMG's clients will benefit from the multi-tier supply-chain resiliency capabilities of Resilinc SupplyIntel and EventWatch. Resilinc SupplyIntel 3.0 delivers a central repository for collecting, managing and refreshing global multi-tier supplier visibility information. The solution provides critical supply chain insights based on business intelligence about supplier global footprint and site locations, sub-contractor and sub- tier supplier dependencies, site operations, part origin, alternate sites, recovery times, emergency contacts, and business continuity planning (BCP) information. Resilinc SupplyIntel 3.0 automatically identifies, based on industry best practices, critical high exposure and high vulnerability areas of the supply chain at a part, site or supplier level.

Additionally, Resilinc EventWatch complements the capabilities of SupplyIntel 3.0 by offering a complete solution to monitor global supply chain disruptions ranging from natural and man-made disasters, to labor and transportation strikes, to bankruptcies. Resilinc EventWatch empowers supply chain professionals to perform global disruption event monitoring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. EventWatch notifications quickly pinpoint supplier sites in a disruption zone and parts originating in the region, along with the recovery time and impact potential of the event. Supply chain experts also can use EventWatch's what-if capability to proactively plan for future events and evaluate how they could impact the organization.

Armed with the visibility to supply chain data provided by SupplyIntel and EventWatch, KPMG will assist clients in realizing a competitive advantage through development of an approach to achieving resilience in their extended supply chains and operations.

According to Resilinc CEO Bindiya Vakil, "Business executives demand innovation, strategic thinking and the ability to deliver concrete results. This alliance delivers on those principles and more. For supply chain risk and resiliency management, clients now have a clear choice of multi-tier, global supply chain management solutions to depend on to drive results."
