John A. Sipp Joins Moelis & Company as a Managing Director
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Moelis & Company announced today that John A. Sipp has joined the firm as a Managing Director, focusing on coverage of the insurance industry. Mr. Sipp has over 23 years of investment banking experience and was most recently a Managing Director and Head of the Insurance Investment Banking Group for the Americas at Credit Suisse. He is based at Moelis & Company’s headquarters in New York.
Mr. Sipp joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in 1998 as a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group. Following the firm’s acquisition by Credit Suisse in 2000 he managed the group responsible for coverage of the insurance industry and worked closely with senior executives of insurance companies in the US, Europe and Asia on strategic and financial matters including capital raising, risk management, mergers and acquisitions and financings. He previously worked at UBS Investment Bank and also within the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs for 11 years.
