IntApp Releases Fourth-Generation Ethical Screening and Confidentiality Management Application for Law Firms
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- IntApp, Inc., the leading provider of risk management, time capture and integration software for the legal industry, today announced the availability of Wall Builder 4.0.
Wall Builder is a web-based confidentiality management application that enables organizations to centrally control, monitor and report on user access permissions across multiple applications including document management, accounting, portal, CRM, time entry and records management systems. It also automates notifications to individuals subject to specific policies and tracks acknowledgments for compliance purposes.
“We’re up and running with Wall Builder 4.0 and are happy with the interface and acknowledgement module enhancements IntApp has added to this latest product update,†said Venky Srinivasan, Director of Technology, Stikeman Elliott LLP. “IntApp sets itself apart as a company that listens to client requirements and responds with products and product functionality that satisfies client needs. Their technology is solid and the support we’ve received over the past five years has been great.â€
Law firms must closely manage and track internal access to client information for many reasons. These include waiver-driven ethical screens, client outside counsel guidelines, and compliance with regulations such as SEC, SOX, HIPAA, ITAR and European Union Market Abuse and Privacy Directives.
Wall Builder replaces distributed, ad hoc approaches to information security with a centralized system that provides organizations with unprecedented capability and control over user access to specific applications, documents and other information. It’s the only product for law firms that delivers real-time enforcement while updating access rights in response to attorney behavior to ensure that policies are kept up to date automatically.
Wall Builder 4.0 delivers significant product enhancements including:
- New security enforcement models, including “Contractor Walls†which enable firms to tightly manage information access available to contract attorneys and temporary staff through “isolation screens†that restrict information access of designated individuals only to assigned matters
- An integrated confidentiality policy generation wizard that enables risk staff to create and store screening memoranda, which can be automatically sent to affected personnel, who may be required to acknowledge receipt and review
- A new reporting dashboard that provides risk management stakeholders with a consolidated view of wall status and activity including key changes and updates to individual walls, changes to wall definitions and outstanding attorney policy acknowledgments
- User interface enhancements to streamline administrative tasks and aid in wall and policy management, including expanded search capabilities and user definable fields for more granular wall classification
“With Wall Builder 4.0, we’ve added product enhancements that specifically address new confidentiality enforcement, lawyer notification, compliance tracking, and reporting measures mandated by recent case law, new industry rules and expanding client requirements,†said Thad Jampol, Chief Technology Officer, IntApp. “IntApp maintains an acknowledged lead in helping law firms respond to these risk management issues as demonstrated by a mature product offering, significant client adoption, and unmatched subject matter expertise.â€
