IFG Companies Names James Emig as Director – Bind Property

IFG Companies reported that James E. Emig has joined as its Director - Bind Property, where he will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for profitable growth of Bind Property and Bind Package business across the United States.

In its release, IFG said Emig will be based in its Atlanta office.

"We are pleased to have Jim join IFG and lead our return to underwriting Bind Property after a year of review and repositioning. Jim has the right experience and underwriting discipline to build effective and successful property capabilities within our Bind unit," said Bob Linton, Chairman of IFG Companies.

IFG Companies said Emig joins the group after more than a decade with AIG, where he held a number of Zonal Executive, Regional Manager and senior underwriting positions, principally in property product lines.

Before working at AIG, Emig worked in property underwriting at Allianz Insurance Company, Genesis Underwriting Management (a General Reinsurance Company), The Home Insurance Company and Hudson Insurance Company.

IFG Companies is a privately-held insurance group.
