ICICI’s Lombard Gets E-Business Leader Award [Professional Services Close – Up]

ICICI Lombard General Insurance, a private sector general insurance company, has been awarded the "E-Business Leader Award" at the 3rd annual edition of The Indian Insurance Awards.

According to a release, ICICI Lombard was conferred with the recognition for its online offerings. The event was organized by Fintelekt, a research company. The Indian Insurance Awards has been conceptualized to honour performance, growth, product and market innovation, customer service and technology.

ICICI Lombard General Insurance said it was the first General Insurance firm in India to set up an online transaction channel, and that it is also the largest general insurance in terms of online insurance purchase/renewal. The company has been effectively using the online medium for customer service and feedback, policy purchase and renewals, claim intimation etc., thereby offering convenience and hassle-free experience to its customers. It has recently added capabilities on the mobile front through customer-friendly apps to further add to its customer proposition.
