HealthScape Advisors LLC Adds Steven Hooker to Firm’s Advisory Council
HealthScape Advisors LLC, the healthcare management-consulting firm, announced that Steven Hooker would join the firm as a Senior Advisor to its Advisory Council (see also Business News).
As a Senior Advisor, Mr. Hooker will support HealthScape's delivery of innovative client solutions as health plans and others in the healthcare industry seek to transform their enterprises to meet the challenges of the new healthcare landscape.
Hooker, 55, is a proactive senior executive with an accomplished career spanning 29 years of executive and financial management experience. He has built a reputation as a change-agent and leader in health plan finance and strategy. Most recently, he served as chief financial officer of The Regence Group managing Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in four Western states.
"Steve has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience working through all organizational constituencies to drive value-based and growth-oriented strategies and initiatives," said Arjun Aggarwal, managing director of HealthScape Advisors. "His leadership and change-management skills will serve our clients well as they look to drive financial stability and execute operational excellence within their organizations."
Prior to joining HealthScape, Hooker was senior vice president and chief financial officer of The Regence Group and it's affiliate Blue plans in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah. During his tenure at Regence, Hooker was responsible for its treasury, accounting, actuarial and underwriting areas, Medicare operations, its life insurance company and third party administrators.

Hooker is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Business from Oregon State University. He serves on the National Board of Directors of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society where he recently served as Chairman of the Board.
