Heacock Appointed as North American Title Insurance Co. Mid Atlantic Regional Underwriting Counsel

North American Title Insurance Co. (NATIC) has added Mark A. Heacock as underwriting counsel for the Mid Atlantic region. Heacock has 30 years of experience in underwriting, residential and commercial real estate closing and education, in addition to claims resolution, avoidance and elimination in corporate and agency environments.

“Mark has an impressive resume of experience in the legal and escrow production realm, as well as being an entrepreneur and a proven manager,” said Geoffrey Ginn, Esq., senior vice president, independent agency for NATIC. “Additionally, agencies and attorneys in the region are familiar with Mark due to his background in providing CLE and continuing education for title insurance. Most recently, Heacock was a sole proprietor of an international law practice and founded and managed a title agency in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, performing residential and commercial closings. He previously had worked as a commercial counsel, manager of a commercial closing department, and as a closing manager and local counsel for three highly regarded national title companies.

Heacock is admitted and a member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar, American Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the Supreme Court of Virginia and the 4th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Georgetown University Law Center.
