This summer, students in grades nine through 12 from across the Commonwealth can write their way to Fenway Park through The Massachusetts Teachers' Association's Most Valuable Educator program, presented by The Hanover Insurance Group Foundation.
According to a release, the Most Valuable Educator program invites students in grades nine through 12 to nominate teachers, librarians, coaches, and even school volunteers for special recognition. Winning educators are selected from all nominations and are invited to participate in a pre-game recognition ceremony at Fenway Park during the summer. The winning educators and the students who nominate them receive a pair of tickets for a Red Sox Game.
"A critical piece of our mission is to help youth realize their full potential," said Jennifer Luisa, assistant vice president, community relations at The Hanover. "Quality educators, administrators and volunteers are important to making our vision a reality and we are excited to help in honoring them, once again. At the same time, we are very pleased to encourage students to be proactive and exercise their writing skills to recognize someone who has made a difference in their lives."
The Hanover Insurance Group offers property and casualty products and services.
