HMI Introduces First Responder Program™ For Emergency Tree Removals

Program Provides Dedicated Crews to Enrolled Insurers

CARY, N.C. – Doug Cowles, President and CEO of HMI (www.HMIadvantage.com) announces that HMI has developed a unique new service for select insurers concerned about high quality service and rapid response when trees fall on their insured’s homes or other property.  HMI’s new treeClaimsSM First Responder ProgramTM (FRP) provides fully equipped, qualified tree crews dedicated to a single insurer’s clients.  HMI sources the tree crews from its national network of licensed, insured tree care professionals and manages all aspects of the program by coordinating the crews in accordance with the insurer’s pre-established claim support protocols.

“Aside from providing a superior customer service, the First Responder Program minimizes costs associated with tree related damage,” said Cowles.  “It is no secret that rapid response by a fully qualified tree removal expert greatly reduces the risk of further damage to a home following a tree failure.  We’re pleased we can offer this program to provide the insurance industry with a high-value, emergency response that truly helps their clients when they need it the most.”

HMI’s FRP can stage fully equipped crews in or near an affected area in anticipation of a storm, or shortly after a storm hits.  Working exclusively for a single insurer, the crews are dispatched by HMI as soon as it is safe to enter the storm area.  Each insurer provides specific points of contact and other instructions that are used by HMI to manage claim activity.  The crews are available to each insurer until authorization is provided by the insurer to terminate the deployment.
