Grace A. Fisher, 83, died Monday, January 14, 2013 while under the care of Hospice and Community Care. She was the wife of the late Emmanuel S. "Whitey" Fisher, who died in 2005.
She graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1947 and worked as the office manager and, later, Administrative Assistant for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, Lancaster
Grace joyfully served as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was associated with the Lancaster Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses on Hershey Avenue.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rebecca (Hawman) Miller. Grace is survived by five sons, John W. married to Jean Gebhard of Willow Street, David R. married to Cindy Gebhard of Lancaster, Michael R. married to Sonia Gebhard of Manheim, Mark A. married to Deb Gebhard of Pequea, and Matthew S. married to Lori Gebhard of Lititz; two stepdaughters, Phyllis J. married to David Plowman of Lancaster and Joyce L. Swigart of Landisville; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters; a stepson, Thomas L. Fisher; and a step-granddaughter, Theresa Lynn.
A Memorial Talk will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 850 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA.
