Katzman Garfinkel, the Readers' Choice Diamond Award-winning law firm as named by the Florida Community Association Journal, has promoted Senior Attorney Erik F. Whynot to Partner.

Erik has practiced in the Community Association Department of the firm for the past four years from the Katzman Garfinkel Central Florida offices. Erik has provided general community association advice to condominium and homeowner associations for more than a dozen years.

Erik is a lead instructor and lecturer for classes taught through the Katzman Garfinkel Law and Learning Center in Margate. He lectures frequently on the intricacies and complexities of community association law addressing community association boards and Licensed Community Association Managers throughout Central and Northern Florida.

Erik is an active member of the Florida Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. Erik was a 2000 graduate from the prestigious New England School of Law. While attending law school, Erik earned the position of Editor of The New England Law Review which publishes scholarly articles of interest to the legal community.

A Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from the prestigious and world-renowned American Top Team, Erik is married and the proud father of two boys who are constantly testing his grappling skills.
