FCCServices Announces New CEO Community, Business Leader Scott Binder Joins Denver-Based Management Consulting Firm

Denver, CO (PRWEB) May 27, 2011

FCCServices (http://www.fccservices.com), a Denver-based business consulting services provider, today announced that Scott Binder will join the company as president and chief executive officer effective September 1, 2011. Binder, who most recently served as senior vice president, Mile High Region at Comcast, is a seasoned business leader and an active member of the Denver community.

The FCCServices board of directors, with the support of retiring FCCServices president and chief executive officer Roger Shaffer, conducted an extensive recruiting and selection process before selecting Binder.

“Scott brings a wealth of experience, ingenuity and work ethic to FCCServices,” said board chairman Loyd Rutherford. “Our company is committed to helping clients achieve greater success by providing services focused on leadership and operational excellence – both areas where Scott has a proven track record and can help FCCServices continue a legacy of profitable growth.”

Prior to leading the Colorado and New Mexico operations for Comcast, Fort Morgan-native Binder served in a variety of leadership roles within the telecommunications industry across the country for Time Warner and Comcast with particular emphasis in marketing, finance, HR, learning and leadership development, customer care and technical operations. Throughout his career, Binder frequently served in a consultative capacity partnering with management teams to identify and implement best practices and drive scalable processes that support fast-growing businesses, including new product growth, leadership development, merger and acquisition integration, and organizational redesign.

Binder currently serves as chairman of the board of trustees of Mile High United Way and also sits on the board of directors of the Denver Public Schools Foundation. He recently served on the board of directors of the Metro Denver Sports Commission and Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.

“Scott’s business acumen will be an asset to FCCServices and will help the company emerge as an even stronger presence in the Denver community,” said Kelly Brough, president and CEO of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. “Under Scott’s leadership, FCCServices will be well-positioned to bring additional benefit to residents and businesses of Colorado communities and beyond.”

“We are so excited to have Scott continue his career in Colorado with FCC Services as their new CEO,” said Christine Benero, president and CEO of Mile High United Way. “He has been a tireless business leader and advocate for Mile High United Way and other community-based organizations focused on investing in children and youth to create opportunities for them to thrive and succeed.”

Retiring president and chief executive officer Roger Shaffer has been with the Farm Credit System for 28 years and served in his current capacity for the past eight years. Under his leadership, the company saw unprecedented revenue growth and an expanded suite of management consulting service offerings.
