Excentus and Shell Extend Fuel Rewards Network™ Savings Program to Include Natural Gas and Electricity Retailers

PR Web

Dallas, TX. (PRWEB) November 14, 2013

Excentus, the leading provider of loyalty marketing programs and cents per gallon fuel savings, today announced a new savings option for a select group of Shell Energy North America customers. Certain Shell Energy customers that sell natural gas and electricity directly to residential consumers in deregulated markets, or retailers, can now offer their end-use customers the full benefits of Excentus’ national rewards program, the Fuel Rewards Network™ (FRN).

“We are proud to continue our expansion of the FRN program across the nation to help consumers combine multiple cents-per-gallon rewards offers for potentially huge savings on high quality Shell fuels,” said Dickson Perry, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Excentus. “Cents per gallon rewards have proven to offer higher perceived value than other loyalty currencies, and by extending the Fuel Rewards Network to energy retailers we are providing a truly unique customer retention and brand loyalty driver.”

The FRN™ program expansion converts natural gas and power used in residential homes into Fuel Savings® rewards that are redeemable at nearly 10,645 participating Shell stations around the country. Eligible Shell Energy Retailers can also take advantage of the broader FRN™ program benefits that provide consumers with multiple opportunities to earn rewards through brand-name online merchants and at grocery stores, restaurants, retailers and service providers coast-to-coast (ways to save vary by market).

“The FRN program is quickly becoming the most recognized and fastest growing cents per gallon rewards program in the nation,” said Frans Everts, Vice President of Shell Energy North America. “Enhancing this program with additional savings options will help deliver greater value to select current and future Shell Energy Retailers and help them grow their business.”

The retail energy component of the FRN™ program extends into all states open to natural gas and power competition, including: Illinois, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, Connecticut and New York, Michigan, Delaware, Arizona, California, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Washington, DC. Shell Energy Retailers will have defined market areas to fit their business needs and will be able to incentivize their customers with Fuel Savings® rewards for their energy purchases.
