ExactTarget, Microsoft Integration Transforms Enterprise Data into Targeted Marketing Campaigns
ExactTarget, a global provider of email marketing and interactive marketing solutions, announced it now powers the data-driven marketing efforts of more than 500 clients through an integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Certified by Microsoft and the ExactTarget Extensions Network, the seamless integration allows organizations to transform customer data housed in Microsoft Dynamics CRM into targeted email marketing campaigns for lead nurturing, life cycle marketing and automated alerts and notifications.
"Global enterprises have a wealth of information about their customers, including their purchase history, preferences and geographic location," said Scott Roth, ExactTarget's senior director of partners and alliances. "With ExactTarget marketers can unlock the power of their Microsoft Dynamics CRM data and create automated email marketing programs tailored specifically to the unique needs, preferences and languages of customers or prospects around the world."
The integration of Microsoft's data management tools with ExactTarget's content creation tools and interactive marketing platform allows Microsoft Dynamics CRM users to create date and event-based campaigns that execute automatically, Roth said. The integration also allows corporate marketers to power email marketing and mobile marketing campaigns on behalf of the lead, contact and account owner, and track the performance of the campaign directly from the Microsoft application.
"The ExactTarget Microsoft Dynamics CRM Integration allows us to power highly personalized email and mobile marketing campaigns to fans based upon what we actually know about their preferences and previous purchases," said Bobby Carter, digital strategist for the Charlotte Bobcats. "With Microsoft providing much of our marketing data, we are able to continuously refine our marketing messages with ExactTarget and track in real-time the performance of any of our campaigns."
Marketers can download a free Customer Success Showcase featuring the results of three joint ExactTarget and Microsoft clients that are delivering results with the ExactTarget-Microsoft integration. The Customer Success Showcase is available here.
The ExactTarget Microsoft integration news follows an announcement Sunday from the floor of the Convergence 2010 conference in Atlanta that Microsoft will make its Dynamics CRM Online software available in 32 markets around the world during the second half of 2010. Microsoft Dynamics CRM has about 22,000 customers and about 1.1 million users today.
