Banking

Cherry Hill-based TD Bank hired Shahid Saulat and Kathleen Auletto as assistant vice presidents and store managers.

Saulat will bring more than 24 years of banking experience with him to the Basking Ridge location. He will also continue his membership with the Small Business Network of Hunterdon and Somerset Counties.

Auletto will bring more than 10 years of banking experience with her to the Westmont location. She will also continue to volunteer as secretary of the Girls Softball Association in the Camden County area.</p>

Health Care

David Rosenberg joins Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, the state's oldest and largest health insurer, as vice president of finance.

With more than 20 years of corporate finance leadership, Rosenberg will be responsible for leading Horizon BCBSNJ's strategic financial initiatives and functions.

Previously, Rosenberg served as senior vice president, finance, and interim chief financial officer for Hertz Corporation. He also held senior finance positions at Polo Ralph Lauren, Nabisco and Bristol-Meyers Squibb.

Higher Education

Rutgers University appointed Wanda J. Blanche« dean of the Graduate School of Education and Peter March executive dean of the School of Arts and Sciences.

Blanche«, who is currently the dean of the School of Education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, will begin her new assignment Sept. 1. She has also held special education and teacher education faculty appointments at Syracuse University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Colorado-Denver, before becoming associate dean for academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2004, associate dean for academic programs and curriculum at the University of Colorado-Denver in 2006 and dean of the UMKC School of Education in 2009.

March's assignment will begin July 1. March has taught at The Ohio State University since 1998 and served as divisional dean of natural and mathematical scienees in the College of Arts and Sciences since 2010. A specialist in probability theory, March directed the division of mathematical sciences at the National Science Foundation from 2006 to 2010, and chaired the Ohio State Department of Mathematics from 1998 until 2006. He also taught at McGill University, Carleton University and the University of British Columbia before coming to Ohio State.

Law

Jonathan M. Kaplan joins Elias B. Cohen & Associates, an assurance agency in Roseland, as vice president of the firm's commercial lines department.

With more than 28 years of experience in the insurance field specializing in real estate, manufacturing, imports and exports, executive risk, environmental risk, construction, transportation and professional entities, Kaplan most recently served as account executive for Geisenheimer Insurance Agency. Prior to that, he worked as the executive vice president at Hale Insurance Brokerage.

Nonprofit

New Jersey Audubon, a nonprofit conservation leader in habitat stewardship, bird and wildlife research, and environmental education, appointed David La Puma as director of the Cape May Bird Observatory.

Bringing more than a decade of experience in ecological research to the role, La Puma will be responsible for leadership, fundraising and direction of the Bird Observatory at both Cape May County sites.

La Puma most recently worked as a product specialist at Leica Sport Optics, one of the world's leading optics manufacturers.

Real Estate

Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the country, liired Theresa "Terry" Wright as a sales associate in its Avalon location.

With more than 20 years of experience processing mortgages and title work, Wright will specialize inluxury, resort and secondhome properties throughout the Jersey Shore.
