Hazlet firm Bernicker, Eiger & Company, CPA, LLC has added Michael Friedman and Katherine Cogan as senior accountants.

* Friedman has 25 years experience, is knowledgeable in financial accounting and reporting and proficient in tax preparation, consulting and research. He will work directly with clients and supervise junior staff. Friedman worked with Bemicker Eiger for the past seven years during tax season.

* Cogan has more than 10 years experience in public accounting and internal audit. She is proficient in income tax return and financial statement preparation and review. Coganis also skilled in taxplanning, strategizing, research of tax and accounting pronouncements, internal control evaluation and compliance examination.

Banking

Heritage Community Bank named lamie M. Payne as vice president and commercial real estate lender, working at the company's Denville office.

Payne has 16 years commercial real estate and construction lending experience from her former employer Valley National Bank. She specializes in non-owner occupied investment mortgages and construction lending.

Environmental

Joseph M. Galley has joined GZA GeoEnvironmental as senior project manager for the Fairfield firm.

Galley, an environmental professional in New Jersey for more than30years, has served as an environmental consultant, owned his own firm and was assistant bureau chief at the state Department of Environmental Protection.

Galley is a licensed site remediation professional in New Jersey and is a master's level certified hazardous material manager. GZA said Galley's regulatory and management background, plus his experience in hazardous materials consulting, environmental investigations and remediation in New Jersey, will be assets for the company.

Health Care

ID Care, a Hillsborough-based network of infectious disease specialists, added Dr. Rena McDermott to the practice.

McDermott serves on staff at the Capital Health Medical Centers in Trenton and Plainsboro and the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. She completed her residency in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital'sCornell campus. McDermott is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.

Law

Attorneys Eric H. Bennett and Mark A. Roney have joined law firm Hill Wallack LLP'sPrinceton office.

Bennett is a member of the firm's trial and insurance practice group where he provides counsel on legal, pharmaceutical and corporate issues. Bennett also manages statewide litigation for corporate clients in various areas of civil litigation, including conducting trials, preparing defenses and supervising trial team and appellate matters.

Roney is a member of the creditors' rights and complex litigation practice groups where he concentrates in bankruptcy and creditors' rights, financial services, banking litigation, and complex commercial litigation. Roney represents banks in litigation involving commercial loan defaults, commercial and residential foreclosures, deposit account agreements, negotiable instruments, lending practices and consumer fraud.

West Orange law firm Wolff & Samson PC added Jolm J. Scally to its bond counsel team.

Scally, with more than three decades of experience in public finance, was previously a partner at Drinker Biddle in Florham Park. He worked on financings for investment banking firms, public power issuers, transportation authorities, nonprofit colleges, universities, hospitals, governments and developers. Before that, Scally served as a partner at McCarter & English.

Printing

Sandra ScMer joined the Clifton-based Premium Color Group as an account manager. PCG is a pre-press, printing, fulfillment and distribution company, offering traditional offset and digital printing.

Schier, previously with AJ Images, is immediate past president of the New Jersey Ad Club. She has a master's degree in marketing from Fordham University.

Technology

Niraj Pant was named senior vice president of technology at LPredictus, a Web-enabled marketing platform for brands and agencies. Pant will be responsible for executing the Parsippany company's Decision Support platform, helping clients monetize their data. Pant was formerly the director of product and data warehouse at Dow Jones.
