Deloitte Selects Janet Foutty as New Federal Leader

PR Newswire Association LLC

WASHINGTON, Jan. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte announced today that Janet Foutty, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP and Federal Consulting national managing director, will also take on the role of Federal Practice leader. Foutty will now oversee the $1.4 billion Deloitte Federal Practice, which provides consulting, risk advisory and financial advisory services to every cabinet-level agency in the U.S. government, and has more than 7,350 dedicated professionals.

Foutty succeeds Maritza Montiel, who will continue as deputy chief executive officer, Deloitte LLP, and senior partner and advisor to the Federal Practice in addition to her role as a member of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited global board of directors.

"We congratulate Janet as she takes on the role of Federal leader," said Jim Moffatt, chairman and chief executive officer, Deloitte Consulting LLP.  "Janet's tremendous track record in technology services and financial services with our commercial clients will be a great asset to federal agencies as they look for solutions to achieve their mission."

Foutty, who has been with Deloitte for more than two decades, has served as Deloitte's managing director of technology in the United States and globally. The technology service area flourished under Foutty, where she successfully launched multiple new businesses, including Customer Solutions and, most recently, Deloitte Digital.  Foutty also helped drive the 2012 acquisition of Ubermind – an innovative mobile agency – which put Deloitte's Technology practice at the forefront of enterprise and consumer mobile strategy and implementation.

"I am pleased that Janet Foutty will take on the role as the Federal leader, in addition to continuing her responsibilities as the Federal Consulting national managing director," said Maritza Montiel. "I am excited about the leadership and vision Janet brings, along with her energy to provide exceptional service to our clients."

During her 22 years with Deloitte, Foutty has also served in a wide range of leadership positions, including the Financial Services Industry leadership team as well as the Women's Initiative and Diversity & Inclusion leadership councils.
