Daman processes over double number of applications each day
Abu Dhabi, June 17th, 2010 /WAM/ -- The National Health Insurance Company Daman, is now processing double the regular number of renewal applications for its customers at its main branches since the Health Authority Abu Dhabi /HAAD/ published Circulars 30, 35, and 36.
To effectively cater to the increase in number of members renewing their Daman policies during the amnesty period, the company has introduced an extra working day /Saturday/ and has extended its working hours at these branches until the 27th of July 2010. Daman s branches are now open from Saturday to Thursday, from 8 am until 8 pm.
On May 27th, circular number 36 was issued announcing a two month amnesty period, ending on July 27th 2010, for health insurance policy holders who were unable to renew their policies on time. During this amnesty period, all those without valid health insurance coverage will be able to correct their status.
As a result, in the last three weeks, Daman staff have been receiving more than double the regular number of customers, and processing over 2800 policy renewal applications a day. Daman s Central branch and Mussafah branch in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain branch are currently processing more than 1100, 700 and 1000 daily applications respectively, since the issuance of HAAD s circulars.
Dr. Sven Rohte, Chief Commercial Officer of Daman, stressed on the importance of renewal during the amnesty period for regular and violating members saying "We are committed to providing all our members with quality customer service, our extended working hours will help accommodate our member s busy work schedules and fulfill policy renewal needs. At this point in time, we re delighted to say that our branches are processing over 2800 applications per day, and in total, we ve processed close to 30,000 applications covering 60,000 members so far."
Customers can visit Daman branches from 8 am until 8 pm from Saturday to Thursday in Central Branch /Airport road/, Mussafah Branch, and Al Ain Main Branch.
