D.W. Simpson Actuarial Recruitment Opens Asia Pacific Office
Lesley Traverso, who is located in Sydney, Australia, has joined D.W. Simpson Asia Pacific as Managing Director. Lesley comes from a banking, finance and insurance recruiting firm in Sydney, where she built the actuarial recruitment practice from the ground floor. In total, Lesley brings with her eight years of international recruiting experience in Asia, Australia and London. Prior to her recruiting career, Lesley, spent 12 years in the Life and Pensions market in the United Kingdom, enjoying considerable success as a sales consultant and Manager. In the past three years, Lesley has specifically focused on actuary recruitment in the Asian and Australian markets, where she has established and maintained strong client relationships amid a growing demand for actuaries within existing and emerging markets. "New markets are opening up, which has the demand for actuarial expertise outstripping the supply in many countries," Lesley said. "There are a growing number of unique opportunities for actuaries, especially those trained in North America. This includes Mainland China, Hong Kong, South Korea, India and Australia." Lesley brings the same recruiting style and commitment to the actuarial community as her D.W. Simpson & Company - U.S. counterparts: a professional and amiable presence within a straightforward and thorough approach.
