Crawford Contractor relocating [Florida Times Union]

Roger Bull
By Roger Bull
Proquest LLC

Crawford Contractor Connection is moving its offices from Meridian Business Park to Greystone Business Park, a short distance away on Deerwood Park Boulevard. The company will spend just under $1 million to build out the 20,000 square feet, which a spokesman said it needs for expansion.

The company, which provides contractor screening and credentialing for the insurance business, now has about 150 employees. It expects to add another 100 over the next 24-36 months.DENTAL

Aspen Dental, a nationwide network of dental offices, is moving into the Jacksonville area. One is under construction at River City Marketplace and is expected to open in May. Others are planned for Atlantic Boulevard and Yulee with openings later in the year.

Aspen has about 380 offices in 25 states. Each office is owned by an independent dentist who pays a fee for a certain amount of administrative work that the company does.FRESHFIELDS

Last week, I wrote that Freshfields Farm had its permit to demolish the old Liberty Furniture on University Boulevard, but it wasn't going to start until it got the permit to build a new building. It has that now: $1.5 million with Williams & Rowe getting the contract.

The new building will be 7,134 square feet of store in front of the former warehouse of about 10,000 square feet. That'll be turned into the receiving and prep area.

A spokesman said they're shooting for a late 2013 opening. And they do plan to expand the front shopping area. But because the store is almost all fresh food, it has to move quickly. So they want to start off smaller.LEXUS
