Crawford Advisors Appoints Jason Kurtz as Managing Director, Candy Ruggieri as Senior Account Manager

Kurtz joins Crawford Advisors with 16 years of experience in human resources consulting and the insurance business. As managing director, he will focus on helping client companies strategize and implement five-year plans encompassing compliance, education, communication, account management, benefits administration, technology, carrier negotiations, employee advocacy, COBRA and flexible spending accounts. Kurtz previously held positions with payroll services provider ADP, insurance intermediary Brown & Brown, and benefits consulting agency Corporate Synergies.

Ruggieri, certified as a regional health underwriter (RHU) and group benefits associate (GBA), has been named a Crawford Advisors senior account manager. She has managed benefits for large public-sector clients and for many large national engineering firms. Most recently, Ruggieri was a consultant for the Employee Benefits Division of broker and benefits consultant Conner Strong & Buckelew. Earlier, she was a manager with Wachovia Insurance Services, a director at Corporate Synergies Group, human resources director at the Parker McCAy law firm and benefits manager at the Decert law firm.
