Continuing Education Scholarships Announced by National Not-for-Profit Association

(Vocus) November 2, 2010 -- Vicki Rolens, Managing Director of the Federation of American Consumers (FACT), reports that enrollments for the association’s 2011 continuing education scholarships are now being accepted.

“This is the 20th consecutive year that scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 have been made available by FACT,” say Rolens. “Applications for 2011 awards may be requested immediately.”

She adds: “In today’s economy, obtaining a higher education can be more difficult than ever for many of us to afford, and FACT is glad it can continue offering assistance. I encourage any member who’s interested to call FACT now for full information and to receive the proper forms.”

FACT scholarships are offered in four categories: (1) for current high school seniors, (2) for persons who graduated from high school four or more years ago and now plan to go to a university or college, (3) for students currently enrolled in a college or university, and (4) for trade or technical school aspirants.

Members may contact FACT on behalf of their children and grandchildren as well as for themselves. The toll-free number, 1-800-USA-FACT , is being manned from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time.
