Coast Career Institute’s Training for Medical Office Assistant Allows Students to Get on the Fast Track to Career Success

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- While many college graduates struggle to apply their majors in the real world job market, students who complete vocational training are finding it easy to directly translate their education to their fields of interest.  This is what has made career colleges in Los Angeles surge in popularity within the last few years, as the economy has slumped and unemployment levels have hit dismal highs.  One of the premier vocational schools in Los Angeles is Coast Career Institute, an educational institution providing a number of fast tracked specialized programs, including Medical Office Assistant.

Coast Career Institute's Medical Office Assistant training program gives students everything they need to become proficient, skilled, and ready to take on high paying jobs as medical assistants.  The Medical Office Assistant program is approximately 5-6 months in duration, and includes intense coursework in medical office procedures, medical records management, insurance, computer applications, fundamental medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and more.  Upon completion of this program at a qualified medical career institute like Coast Career Institute, students are qualified to perform important medical office procedures, such as EKGs, monitoring of vital signs, CPR, first aid, urinalysis and other basic lab tests, physical examination prep, patient data collection, and assisting doctors in performing minor surgical procedures.  A mixture of lectures and hands-on education ensures that students finish the program with the confidence and knowledge to succeed.

Upon certification from the Medical Office Assistant program, students can find work in hospitals, doctors' offices and clinics.  All courses are taught by professionals in the respective field who have medical degrees and the ability to motivate and guide students on their journey to success.  Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, Coast Career Institute is accessible from all reaches of the LA metropolitan area, and the campus's intimate learning atmosphere is ideal for making new friends and acquaintances.

Medical Office Assistants can earn anywhere from $23,700 to $39,570.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the "employment of medical assistants is expected to grow 34 percent from 2008 to 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations, ranking medical assistants among the fastest growing occupations over the 2008–18 decade" (Bureau of Labor Statistics – Occupational Outlook Handbook).  This is an exciting time for you if you are considering a job in the healthcare industry, and Coast Career Institute's Medical Assistant program can help you get there.

As a leading career college in Los Angeles aside from the Medical Office Assistant program, Coast Career Institute also provides Private Security Guard, Optical Dispensing Technician, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Solar Installation, Floral and Bridal Arrangement, and Cake Decorating career programs.
