Central Connecticut Medical Management (CCMM) has selected the Ingenix CareTracker practice management and e-prescribing system to help simplify administration and enhance patient care across its physician network (see also Ingenix).
CCMM operates 16 offices with 59 physicians at four patient care centers: Greater Bristol Primary Care, Bristol Hospital Clinicians, Bristol Psychiatric Services and Med Help. CCMM provides inpatient and outpatient care for 135,000 patient visits and procedures each year.
CareTracker is an affordable, Web-based practice management system that will help CCMM manage patient scheduling and registration more efficiently, improve claims and billing accuracy and expedite access to essential patient medical information - such as prescription history and lab test results - at the point of care. CareTracker also will give CCMM management greater visibility into operational performance via dashboard reports that track staff productivity, patient outcomes and other practice metrics.
"Ingenix CareTracker will give CCMM greater control over business and patient information, and provide insights that enable us to provide the best care possible to our patients and manage our offices more effectively," said Susan Sylvestre, assistant vice president at Central Connecticut Medical Management. "By hosting our scheduling, medical billing and prescribing systems online, CareTracker will give CCMM the flexibility and scalability necessary as we look to expand services to our communities and our physicians."
"CareTracker offers large-physician practices such as CCMM a full-featured practice management system with almost zero IT infrastructure or maintenance requirements," said Russ Keene, vice president of physician solutions, Ingenix. "Ingenix is helping physicians at one of Connecticut's premier health care providers spend more time with patients by making health IT more affordable and easier to use."
Ingenix CareTracker enables clinicians to enter, retrieve and correlate patient information at the point of care. The system fully integrates with all the operational functions of a physician practice, further simplifying administrative tasks, such as billing, scheduling and documentation.
In January, Ingenix announced a package of interest-free financing and meaningful use guarantees that eliminate up-front costs to implementing an EHR system.
