Capital Insurance Group Appoints Bruce Ostrem as Regional Field Executive for Southern California Region

MONTEREY, Calif., May 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital Insurance Group® (CIG) has announced the appointment of Bruce Ostrem as the Regional Field Executive — Southern California. As the company continues to grow its personal, commercial and agriculture business, CIG created the new Southern California region, consisting of Ventura, Anaheim and San Diego territories, in order to provide greater autonomy and decision making authority in the field. CIG recruited Ostrem, a former Regional Marketing and Underwriting Manager, and Branch Vice President with more than 35 years of insurance experience, for the new executive position.

Ostrem is a seasoned insurance professional with extensive experience in personal and commercial lines as well as in marketing. Most recently, he spent three years in Washington State as a Vice President position overseeing the largest West Coast Agricultural book of business written by QBE (formerly Unigard). He also managed QBE's West Coast Small Business Underwriting Department, QBE's West Coast Processing Department, and a team of commercial lines middle market underwriters. He is a graduate of the University of Denver with degrees in education, communication, and accounting.
