NEW YORK -- Health and life insurer and business administrator Trustmark said Thursday that CVS Caremark Corp. will handle its prescription drug benefits.
Trustmark did not disclose terms of its agreement with Caremark, which is the nation's third-largest pharmacy benefits management company. It said Caremark started handling pharmacy benefit services for all its small group, large group, and association fully insured and self-funded clients on July 1.
Trustmark is based in Lake Forest, Ill. CVS Caremark also operates more than 7,000 drugstores across the U.S.. It is headquartered in Woonsocket, R.I.
CVS Caremark shares were unchanged at $30.78 in aftermarket trading. The stock rose 11 cents during the day.
