CNA Appoints Michael Furlong Vice President of Specialty Underwriting
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CNA announced Michael Furlong as vice president of Underwriting for its Specialty Lines Group. In this role, Furlong has responsibility for the global insurer’s Lawyers Professional Liability program which focuses on law firms with fewer than 35 lawyers, and its bar-endorsed partnerships.
Furlong has more than 20 years of legal, claim and professional liability experience. He joins CNA from Swiss Re where he led its Lawyers and Accountants Professional Liability business. Prior to Swiss Re, Furlong worked at General Electric where he held leadership roles in Claims and Claim Legal, as well as led process improvement initiatives. He received his J.D. from the Creighton University School of Law.
