CNA Appoints John Kaas Vice President of Its Florida Branch

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CNA Financial Corporation (NYSE: CNA) announced the appointment of John Kaas as vice president of its Florida branch, effective June 1, 2011. In this role, Kaas will be responsible for synchronizing branch operations with CNA’s strategic goals for long-term success, including increasing local authority at the point of sale and improving service to agents and brokers in this territory.

Kaas joins CNA from Chubb and Son, where he served as national distribution manager responsible for developing its distribution and underwriting strategy for Chubb Custom Market. Prior to this national role, he served as assistant vice president for Chubb and Son’s Atlanta territory, responsible for the profitable growth of a $100 million book of business within Chubb Commercial Insurance. Kaas began his career with AIG Claims Services, Inc. as a disability management claims adjuster.
