CEI’s Wayne Smolda to Present Fleet Executive of the Year Award at 2014 AFLA Conference

Wayne Smolda, founder and chief executive officer of the CEI Group, Inc. (CEI) will present the winner of this year's Fleet Executive of the Year award next week at the 2014 Conference of the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) in Las Vegas, Nevada, CEI announced today.

Mr. Smolda will present the award at a special breakfast meeting honoring the association's award winners on Tuesday, September 9. CEI has been co-sponsoring the award with Fleet Financials magazine since its inception in 2003.

The award recognizes exceptional leadership by managers who have the title of vice president or higher. The winner is selected by panel of judges drawn from the fleet industry. Criteria include cost-saving initiatives, policy-setting, creation of innovative programs, and cultivation of fleet manager training and management. Last year's winner was Jerome Webber, vice president of global fleet operations for AT&T.

CEI also announced that it has raised its AFLA sponsorship from Platinum to Diamond, the organization's highest sponsor level. "For more than 40 years, AFLA has been at the forefront in helping to raise the professionalism of the fleet industry," Mr. Smolda said. "We're proud to be a member and pleased to extend our support for the benefit of all of those who keep the wheels of business turning."
