CCM Offers Retailers A Safer Way To Liquidate After Christmas
Channel Control is a new concept to retail liquidation being introduced by Channel Control Merchants, LLC. just in time for after-Christmas inventory.
While technology does solve many of the world's problems, it can just as easily cause new problems as well.
Take for example, inventory liquidation.
The internet seems to offer retailers an almost limitless world of buyers and sellers and would appear to be an incredible asset when it comes to liquidating their inventory.
But in recent years retailers are discovering that this limitless world, connecting buyers and sellers online, is not exactly the best solution for protecting their brand.
"When anyone can have access to your brand or have access to carrying your brand, there are real integrity issues that come into play. Especially if these goods are closeouts or liquidation merchandise, you want to make sure they are handled in a way that is sensitive to the effect it could have on the brand and the brand owners," says
In such a brand conscious world, many retailers are waking up to the idea that liquidating their goods online not only gives opportunity for brand erosion, but it presents a situation where the brand owners are losing market share.
"What retailers are discovering is that by liquidating their goods online, they are cannibalizing the sales of their current items," continues Shadix, "The last thing they want to do is have someone else selling their clearance merchandise online at 80% off and stealing sales from goods that have just been put out on the market."
"We work with many of the world's largest retailers, offering them a way to protect their brand, control their channels of distribution, and guarantee a proper disposal of inventory they deem to be a problem; customer returns, closeouts, overstock, etc.”, says Shadix.
"By controlling the channels of distribution, domestically and abroad, we offer retailers options that no other liquidation company can offer them.”
