On January 28, 2014, co-hosts Lee Kantor and Stone Payton of Results Matter Radio on Business RadioX® welcomed to the studio Stephen Adkins to discuss The McCart Group's recent merger with EPIC.

The McCart Group provides risk management, property and casualty, employee benefits and personal risk management products to local, regional and global companies in a wide range of industries. Earlier this month, EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center), a retail property and casualty insurance brokerage and employee benefits consultant, acquired The McCart Group. According to Adkins, "As part of EPIC, the firm will now operate as The McCart Group – an EPIC Company."

As Chief Operating Officer, Adkins is responsible for the operational management and leadership of EPIC’s Southeastern region and is charged with maintaining enterprise-wide profitability. "The addition of The McCart Group," said Adkins, "will add approximately $20 million in revenue to EPIC in 2014, along with more than 100 top professionals and a strong regional presence in the Southeast."

Prior to joining The McCart Group, Adkins spent 19 years working with national commercial insurance carriers, most recently serving as Product Manager and National Underwriting Director with CNA Insurance Company concentrating on the logistics, transportation and private fleet industries, both domestic and international. Adkins has been with The McCart Group since 2005.
