BRIEF: Thursday’s District 10 girls soccer highlights, Oct. 16

Oct. 17--Alli Hart scored early and late to help Fairview clinch the Region 3 title outright with a 2-0 victory over Cambridge Springs on Thursday at Fairview.

Hart netted her first goal about 12 minutes into the match, then ensured the victory with an insurance goal in the final minutes for the Tigers (15-1-0, 11-0-0).

Abby German and Maya Fanazini had assists for Fairview, which received shutout goalkeeping from Shay Tresler.

The Blue Devils lost for just the third time this season, falling to 12-3-0, 8-3-0.

- North East 5, Eisenhower 0: At Russell, Macy Putman had two goals and a pair of assists in the second half as the Grapepickers (9-5-2, 8-2-1) broke away from a scoreless tie to defeat the Knights (2-12-0, 2-9-0) in a Region 3 match.

Morgan Hopkins had a goal and three assists while Chelsey Chwatek recorded the shutout in goal for North East.

- Harbor Creek 2, Iroquois 1: At Iroquois, Sammie Desser and Laurel Propopchak scored second-half goals to rally the Huskies (12-3-1) to a non-region victory over the Braves (5-9-1).

Bailey Boucher scored the lone goal for Iroquois in the first half.
