BRIEF: Life insurance agent preparing to meet client has his briefcase stolen

May 06--STOCKTON -- A life insurance agent preparing to meet a client in central Stockton had his briefcase stolen around 4 p.m. Monday by a robber who had his hand tucked in his shirt as if he possibly had a gun, police reported.

The incident took place in the 100 block of East Magnolia Street near North El Dorado Street. The 55-year-old victim had parked his car when the robber approached him and demanded the briefcase that contained cash.

The robber then fled on a blue bicycle, according to a report.

The robber was described as a black man, 5 feet 11 and 180 pounds with short black hair, last seen wearing a white-and-black flannel shirt and jeans, according to police.
