BRIEF: Hit-and-run crash causes damage

June 14--A hit-and-run accident at 7:50 a.m. Monday resulted in more than $6,000 damage, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Todd Roth, 28, Jamestown, was driving a 2004 Jeep south in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue Northeast.

A 2008 Chevrolet was parked in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue Northeast.

According to the police report, Roth swerved and struck the parked vehicle. He allegedly left the scene of an accident, but the Jeep was located by police around 8:25 a.m.

Roth was not wearing a seatbelt. Damage was estimated at $3,000 for the Jeep and $3,000 for the Chevrolet.

Roth was cited for failure to give immediate notice of a crash, failure to wear seatbelt, driving without insurance and leaving the scene of an accident involving an unattended vehicle.
