The police said Porterfield disobeyed a yield sign, pulled into the intersection and struck the vehicle McClean was driving.
Both drivers wore seat belts and neither was injured.
Porterfield was cited for disobeying a yield sign.
McClean was cited for driving without liability insurance on a motor vehicle and for driving without a valid operator's license.
