Audio: CEO of MetLife China Says Variable Annuities Next Big Foreign Play in China

The opening of the variable annuity market in China is expected to diversify wealth management solutions for Chinese residents, according to Bob Pei, chief executive officer of MetLife China, a Sino-U.S. insurance joint venture based in Shanghai. Pei believes variable annuities will eventually evolve to be a huge market in China, similar to what MetLife has seen in markets such as United States and Japan.
