2009 DEC 7 - (NewsRx.com) -- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (NYSE:AJG) announced the acquisition of Shuford Insurance Agency, Inc. in Concord, North Carolina. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed (see also Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.).Founded in 1938, Shuford Insurance Agency, Inc. is an independent insurance agency offering personal and commercial property/casualty insurance products and services to their clients throughout the Eastern United States. They specialize in insurance for many industries including motorsports, construction and manufacturing and for all personal lines coverages. J. Knox Hillman, Jr. and his associates will continue to operate in their Concord location under the direction of Mitchel Brashier, Southeastern Regional Manager of Gallagher's retail property/casualty brokerage operations."Shuford Insurance Agency is a great example of what we look for in a merger partner," said J.
